Nutritional Health Coach & Wellness Educator
Cheryl combines her background in counseling and psychology with her knowledge of nourishing whole foods to help coach her clients live a more balanced and energized life and learn to listen to and honor their involves creating meaningful goals, designing their new vision while gently supporting them on their unique journey.
Cheryl founded Living Whole Health in 2003 and has been serving clients of all ages from kids to seniors in Alexandria and nationwide via phone and Skype. Having been raised in a home with an organic gardener for a Dad and natural foods focused Mother it was only natural that she would become a whole foods “foodie” and healer. She is grateful for her early exposure, support and interest in natural and whole foods as the way to prevent and heal most disease processes. Cheryl specializes in weight loss while supporting emotional eating issues and truly understands how the “whole” person must be addressed in creating a health and wellness plan and preventing or reversing a disease process. Cheryl has been leading cooking classes, group programs and wellness retreats around the country enjoying mountain inns & farms and oceanfront villas.
Cheryl received her master’s degree in psychology & counseling from the University of Santa Monica and received certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, as a health coach. She completed The Food as Medicine training sponsored by the Center for Mind Body Medicine (CMBM) where she also served as faculty. She went on to complete the CMBM Advanced Mind Body Skills training and continues to integrate those skills into her private practice and corporate workshops. She is currently coaching patients at Steinmetz Medical Associates a functional medicine practice, as a certified First Line Therapy lifestyle educator.
Cheryl is passionate about sharing what she has learned and conducts wellness workshops in organizations nationwide. She enjoys the process of educating and inspiring participants to consider their role in achieving optimal health in all areas of their life.
