We are one of the few Primary care practices in the region to take an integrative approach to healthcare.
Our integrative approach bridges the cultural divide between conventional Western medicine with Eastern techniques. We use only the best practices from both approaches to medical care, all of which are backed by proven research and studies or historical traditions. Our board-certified family practice physicians can offer patients conventional treatments, as well as acupuncture, nutritional supplements and herbs, homeopathy and osteopathic manipulation. Our practice founder, Dr. Marie Steinmetz is a leader in the field by working with local medical schools, hospitals and physician organizations. Additionally, we are linked to a network of both conventional specialists and complementary practitioners to assure you receive the highest quality treatments if you need to be referred to another clinician for specialized care.
We offer a rare breadth of training found at few other medical practices.
Our physicians are board certified in family practice who have extensive training in complementary treatments such as homeopathy and herbal medicine. They are accredited and certified to perform acupuncture, which is helpful for a variety of conditions, including chronic pain and infertility.
We take our time.
Unlike most primary care physicians who see more than 25 patients a day, our doctors limit their daily consultations to eight to 16 patients. That’s because we believe outstanding medical care is achieved only when a doctor takes time to listen to patients. Even the simplest complaint can be a sign of serious illness that might be overlooked in a quick visit. And no two patients are alike—even if they have the same disease. We typically spend an hour with each new patient and annual physicals, asking detailed questions about all aspects of their lifestyle to create a complete picture of the patient. That interview helps us to tailor a treatment plan for you, based on your unique needs.
We focus on prevention of disease.
We take time to educate our patients about the best ways to restore and maintain optimal health. We emphasize nutrition, exercise and lifestyle adjustments to prevent illness and to minimize the need for medical interventions as much as possible.
