Since the end of May, I have lost 30 pounds by following the program. Not bad for only three months of effort. I find the diet to be simple to follow and appreciate that I do not have to count each and every calorie. The nine categories and specified number of servings per day per category is very easy to understand. Plus, I don’t feel as though I’m really missing out on anything. In fact, I feel as though I am eating more than I did before starting the program, yet losing weight at the same time. I like that! Also, because I’m not taking in any extra sugar these days, I like that the fruits I’m eating taste even better and sweeter. Who knew that that would happen!
In addition to being more cognizant of what I’m eating, I do believe that eating within an hour of getting up in the morning and then every three to four hours after that has really kick-started my metabolism. Given my thyroid issues, I definitely think that that is something that needed to happen, and I just didn‘t seem to be able to do that on my own. Also, because of my thyroid issues, my plan cuts out more foods than the program normally would for those who don’t have a problem thyroid. But, it still isn’t that difficult, and, if it helps to get my thyroid back to normal functioning, it will be well worth it. In the meantime, I’m just so pleased to be feeling like my old self again.
All of that extra weight these last few years has really dragged me down. Now, I just have to keep it going in order to lose the last 5 or so pounds and then ensure that the weight doesn’t come right back. However, I think I can handle it now — the program’s guidelines will definitely help to keep me on track, that plus a little more exercising and I should be good to go. Thank you for all your help.
